BRACEBRIDGE MAN AIRLIFTED TO HOSPITAL IN TORONTO WITH LIFE-ALTERING INJURIES TODAY AFTER ROLLING OFF ROAD

BRACEBRIDGE — Mathiasville Road was closed overnight for police investigation after a driver went off the road early this morning.

The OPP say the 36-year-old Bracebridge man was transported to hospital with life-altering injuries and he was then airlifted to a Toronto hospital for further care.

There were no other occupants in the vehicle.

On December 28, at 2 a.m., officers along with Muskoka EMS and Bracebridge Fire Department responded to the single vehicle collision.

Matthiasville Road, in the east end of Bracebridge, was closed while OPP Technical Collision Investigators and Reconstructionists conducted their investigation and has since reopened.

The police investigation is ongoing and they ask that anyone who witnessed the collision or has home surveillance footage that may be useful is asked to call the OPP at its Bracebridge detachment at 1-888-310-1122.

The 36-year-old driver went off the road in the east end of Bracebridge along Matthiasroad off Hwy. 11 before police were called at 2 a.m.
