BRACEBRIDGE MAN, 33, CHARGED WITH LURING PERSON UNDER AGE 18

BRACEBRIDGE — A 33-year-old local man was in bail court this morning charged with luring a person under the age of 18 two weeks ago.

Police say his appearance follows an investigation in which officers responded to a call December 15, just before 2 p.m.

That’s when an individual reported they were being harassed by another unknown individual on Manitoba Street.

Officers investigated the circumstances and the man from Bracebridge has been charged with Luring a Person Under 18 years of age

The accused was held for a bail hearing to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Bracebridge on December 29, 2023.

A publication ban was issued in order to protect the identity of the victim.

As a result, the name of the accused will not be released and further information will also not be released, say police in release today.

Police have charged a local man with luring after the victim reported the incident Dec. 15.
