FATAL ACCIDENT ON HWY. 11 LAST NIGHT SOUTH OF MADILL ROAD IN HUNTSVILLE

HUNTSVILLE A man is dead and his passenger is in serious condition after an accident on Hwy. 11 south of Huntsville last night.

Police say this morning that officers are still investigating the fatal collision.

They say that on Feb. 22, at about 9 p.m., police, EMS and the firefighters responded to a serious single vehicle collision on the highway, south of Madill Church Road.

As a result, the 32-year-old, male driver and lone occupant were transported by ambulance to hospital with life-threatening injuries.

The driver succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at hospital in Huntsville.

Hwy. 11 southbound between Madill Church Road and Stephenson Road 12 was closed until after midnight for a police investigation.

The Traffic Collision Investigation (TCI) team of the OPP attended to assist.
