CITY OF KAWARTHA LAKES — A Willowdale man faces a pair of charges after a kwazy police call.

Provincial police say that on Dec. 7, 2019, a homeowner contacted police after observing an unknown person walking along Centennial Park Road with a firearm.

Officers from the City of Kawartha Lakes OPP responded to the call and the ensuing investigation indicated that the male was hunting rabbits from the roadway.

Dimitrios Katsinos, 72, was charged with the following offences:

• Engage in prohibited activity on premises, contrary to the Trespass to Property Act;
• And unlawfully possess loaded firearm within eight metres of roadway, contrary to the Fish and Wildlife Conservation Act.
