BLOND, BLUE-EYED SUSPECT SOUGHT IN TWO AREA ROBBERIES

SPRINGWATER TOWHSHIP — Police are looking blond, blue-eyed suspect after a pair of robberies at variety stores Tuesday and Wednesday — including one in which he was armed with a knife.

Provincial police say that on Dec. 10 at 5:20 p.m., Huronia West  OPP officers responded to a robbery after a suspect entered The Old Corner Store in Hillsdale and robbed a the store clerk at knife point.

They say the suspect fled the store with cigarettes and cash and was last seen getting into a four-door silver or grey car, possibly a Honda Civic or Toyota Corolla. The car had round tail lights and one was possibly out.

On Dec. 11 at 6 a.m. the same suspect robbed Jug City in Wyevale, in Tiny Twp.

The man was seen entering into the passenger seat of a silver or grey older model car.

In one robbery he was captured on a store surveillance camera wearing a weird plastic-looking vest with a hood.

He suspect is described as:

White, 5-foot-10, with blonde hair and blue eyes.

In both cases the he wore gloves, a hood and his face was partially covered.

He is believed to be in his 20s or 30s.

Police are also looking for assistance in identifying the male and or the vehicle/vehicle driver.
