DRIVERS CHARGED WITH REFUSING BREATH SAMPLE

BRACEBRIDGE — Two men suspected of drinking and driving are to appear in court in the new year charged with refusing to provide a breath sample to police.

The OPP say that on Wednesday Dec. 12, 2019, at 12:30 a.m. officers received a call from a concerned member of the public about two people who had left a local restaurant in Bracebridge, in separate vehicles, potentially with alcohol in their systems.

The two vehicles were both located nearby and as a result of their investigation police arrested and ultimately charged 35-year-old Nicholas Watman, of East Gwillimbury; and 37-year-old Jeffrey Anderson, of Sunderland, each with Refusal to Comply with Demand (for breath) CC 320.15(1).

They are to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Bracebridge Jan. 7, 2020, to answer to their charges.
