GRAVENHURST — Thirty years after her first pageant, Penny Varney is presenting one more performance of the popular Christmas concert at Trinity United Church Sunday night, Dec. 15.

While the first 25 were a huge success, she took the past five years off.

This week she’s back with more enthusiasm with her 26th show featuring lots of local talented singers and actors.

However, alas, this will be her last as the church gets busier and storing the sets more difficult.

Still, she plans to go out with another great show, which is always an entertaining and enjoyable stop on the Christmas concert circuit.

Proceeds from the 7 p.m. start go to the church’s new tenants, the G.A.P. and the Gravenhurst Women’s Centre, which is moving in the middle of next month.

Penny Varney and friends are back for their 26th and last concert, which is always a highlight of the Gravenhurst Christmas concert season.
The free pageant will benefit the GAP and women’s centre.
