ORILLIA MAN WANTED FOR ATTEMPTED MURDER

RAMA — An Orillia man is wanted for attempted murder after a Ramara man was injured early Monday at a

police warrant has been issued for an Orillia

On Monday July 29, 2019 the Orillia Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a call for a serious assault in Ramara Township.

At approximately 2:20 AM officers responded to a call at a Logan Lane residence where a Ramara man was located badly injured.

Simcoe paramedics treated him and arranged for him to be airlifted to a Toronto hospital where he is in critical condition.

The Orillia OPP along with Orillia OPP Crime Unit and Central Region Forensic Identification Services are investigating.

As a result, a warrant has been issued for Jake Marcellus, 20, of Orillia.

The suspect is wanted for Attempted Murder contrary to Section 239(1)(b) of the Criminal Code.

They do not believe he is a danger to the public; however, police urge the public to not approach the male if he is located or his whereabouts are known.
