MISSING KAWARTHA FARMER LOCATED IN WOODS

KAWARTHA LAKES A happy ending to a farmer who became lost in the woods while chasing some cows.

Provincial police say that on Tuesday, August 20, at 10:35 p.m., officers from the City of Kawartha Lakes detachment of the OPP were called to Martin’s Road in response to a report of a missing male party.

Upon arrival, officers determined that a 78-year-old man had entered into a heavily-wooded area in search of cattle and had not been seen for several hours.

Police were assisted by members of the Emergency Response Team (ERT) and K-9 unit.

At approximately 5 a.m., on August 21, the farmer was located in good health.

A farmer in search of his cattle was out all night last night before being found by police early on Aug. 21.
