THIEF STEALS WATER JUGS, ASKS FOR REFUND

GRAVENHURST — A bold and creative thief is being sought after someone stole water jugs and returning the empties for a refund at the YIG grocery store.

Provincial police are investigating a theft and fraud at a grocery store on First Street North.

The say an unidentified suspect came into the store on August 14, 2019, and first stole 18L jugs of water, then tried to return the empty jugs to get the cash for the jug deposit.

Surveillance footage of the suspect has been obtained and police are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying them.
