Doug Ford campaigns in Bala Tuesday

BALA — PC Party leadership candidate Doug Ford was scheduled to speak Tuesday morning at a campaign event here.

He was at the Lakeside Bala Restaurant from 9:45 to 10:30 a.m., according to a notice from his campaign.

Bala is where his late brother Rob Ford spent some rehab time for substance abuse.

Ford is running against Christine Elliott, Caroline Mulroney, and Tanya Granic Allen.

Former leader Patrick Brown, who was out, then in, is now out of the race.

Local PC MPP Norm Miller is backing Mulroney.

Conservatives begin voting this weekend, with the winner to be announced March 10.
