Miller endorses Mulroney, not Elliott in PC race

PARRY SOUND-MUSKOKA – It turns out MPP Norm Miller is backing Caroline Mulroney.

Caroline Mulroney has the support of veteran Progressive Conservative MPP Norm Miller, who tweeted his backing Feb. 5.

The Parry Sound-Muskoka MPP, who had supported rival Christine Elliott when Patrick Brown won the PC Party leadership last time, tweeted his support back on Feb. 5.

“After careful consideration of many factors I am proud to endorse Caroline Mulroney @C_Mulroney . I am impressed with Caroline’s professional credentials and her philanthropic activities. Caroline will attract a new gen of voters to the PC party!”

MP Tony Clement is also supporting former prime minister Brian Mulroney’s daughter, who is a lawyer and first-time political candidate.

Online voting for the March 10 leadership announcement begins this weekend.

The provincial general election is Thursday, June 7.

Miller is seen in promotional literature for Mulroney, with his endorsement.
