SOBEYS, LCBO BAG LADY SUSPECT SOUGHT AFTER $450 SHOPLIFTING SPREE IN GRAVENHRST TUESDAY NOONISH

GRAVENHURST — A brazened bag lady believed to have stolen about $450 worth of goods yesterday at a pair of shopping mall locations at the south entrance to Gravenhurst has police asking the public’s help in identifying CCTV footage of the suspect in their investigation.

They say that on Tuesday, September 22, at 1:40 p.m., officers responded to a theft complaint that occurred at the two retail locations in Gravenhurst near Muskoka Road South and Edward Street.

The person shown in store surveillance is described as a female wearing a black hat, black sweatshirt with an Adidas logo, black pants and carrying a large bag.

She went to the LCBO and next door Sobeys grocery stores, grabbing items valued at approximately $450 before taking off on Talisman Drive.

The woman also caught on store security camera in the Sobeys grocery store next door in the south entrance Gravenhurst shopping plaza.
She was last seen leaving on Talisman Drive around 1 p.m. Tuesday.
