UNLICENSED HUNTSVILLE DRIVER NABBED FOR IMPAIRED OPERATION LAST THURSDAY NIGHT
HUNTSVILLE — A 32-year-old Huntsville man with no licence, insurance or permit faces multiple charges after being stopped Thursday.
He was one of two drivers charged with impaired-related offences— alcohol and drugs — last week, say police.
They say that on September 17, at 6:20 p.m., officers responded to a report of a vehicle being driven in a dangerous manner on Wilmott Street in Huntsville.
When police located the vehicle their investigation led to the arrest of Paul DeGazio, who was charged with:
- Assault a Peace Officer
- Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs
- Dangerous operation
- Drive motor vehicle – no licence
- Drive motor vehicle, no permit
- Owner operate a motor vehicle without insurance
- Drive vehicle with cannabis readily available
A day later, September 18, at approximately 9:13 p.m. officers responded to a report of another possible impaired driver.
It was found on Highway 11, in Huntsville.
And Tyler Corless, 33, of Huntsville was charged with:
- Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
- Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs
DeGazio and Corless are to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Bracebridge at a later date.
