4,000 POT PLANTS SEIZED IN GROW-OP BUST JULY 16 IN FALKENBURG NORTH OF BRACEBRIDGE

BRACEBRIDGE — Firefighters assisted police last month in a major illegal cannabis raid on a grow site here on Little Road.

The Muskoka Community Street Crime Unit charged a North York man after a spring investigation was begun by the Muskoka Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU) investigators.

On July 16 they executed two search warrants in relation to the investigation with the assistance of multiple OPP units and other government agencies, including the Bracebridge Fire Department.

Little Road is off Manitoba Street North, north of Falkenburg, and runs north off Moore Road near the Moore’s Cemetery.

Police seized more than 4,000 cannabis plants and associated equipment.

As a result of the investigation, Gang Deng Wang, of North York, was charged with Unlawfully Obtaining Cannabis under the Cannabis Act s.12(1)(a).

He is to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice, in Bracebridge, on August 11, 2026.
