THIEVES STEAL 3 SNOWMOBILES AND TRAILER IN GRAVENHURST YESTERDAY

GRAVENHURST — Police are looking for two thieves who made off with three snow snowmobiles and a trailer early yesterday at the north end of Gravenhurst.

Video surveillance shows the suspect vehicle may be a light-coloured pick-up truck with two occupants.

OPP say that overnight early Friday, Dec. 2, thieves entered a gated compound as part of a break and enter that occurred at a secure storage compound on Crawford Road.

The operations manager reports that the suspect(s) gained entrance by making a hole in the fence and then proceeded to cut the chains from the electric gate.

Suspects made their way into the yard and stole two 2015 red Ski-doo snowmobiles from a locked trailer. And a 2021 black NEO enclosed trailer that had a 2005 red Ski-doo inside.

The thieves are believed to have loaded the stolen snowmobiles into a trailer and exited through the main gate.

Police are asking anyone who may have surveillance footage from Crawford Road/ Jones Road or Winhara Road to review their footage any time after 1 a.m. Dec. 2.

Two red Ski-doos, similar to these, stolen overnight Friday, are but half the haul thieves made off with including a third red Ski-doo and a black NEO trailer.
