MUSKOKA LAKES — A Markham man who was boating near Walker’s Point late yesterday afternoon is the third drowning victim of the summer in Muskoka.
Police investigating in incident in the Township of Muskoka Lakes — west of Gravenhurst and close to Bala
They say that on Saturday, July 18, at about 4:30 p.m., officers were called to a report of a boater who had fallen overboard and failed to resurface.
The, a 63-year-old man, was later recovered by the OPP Underwater Search and Recovery Unit and pronounced dead at the scene.
The OPP Marine Unit assisted Bracebridge OPP with the response effort.
Their investigation remains ongoing.

This the third incident, including one Canada Day in Bracebridge and another June 21 in Gravenhurst.
