GRAVENHURST — The Gravenhurst Parkway re-opened at Reay Road just after 7 p.m. tonight, following a fatal motorcycle accident that claimed a 21-year-old rider today.
The two-vehicle mid-afternoon accident that closed the road for four hours was reported at 3:40 p.m.
Individuals in the second automobile sustained minor injuries.

Police were called Friday, June 19, the intersection to Camping in Muskoka (former KOA) and not far from the Beaver Creek federal prisons and the Muskoka Airport next door.
Although emergency crews were on scene quickly, lifesaving measures were not successful, and the driver of the motorcycle succumbed to his injuries.
Police have not released the name of the motorcycle driver.
Or any details of which was they were driving.
The Central Region Traffic Incident Management Enforcement (TIME) team was assisting with this complex investigation, said police.
They said further updates will be provided as they become available.
Tonight, just after the road opened, the scene where police investigated was covered in a light gravel mix, and several large orange OPP markings.
The accident comes just weeks after another motorcyclist died May 21 on Ecclestone Drive at the south entrance to Bracebridge just five kilometres north.
