TWO LOCAL RESIDENTS CHARGED AT KNOWN DRUG HOUSE ON GRAVENHURST’S MUSKOKA ROAD MAIN STREET AFTER POLICE RAID THURSDAY JUNE 4

GRAVENHURST — Two people Gravenhurst residents face drug-related charges after a police raid on a notorious drug house on the community’s main street last week.

Police say the Muskoka Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU), with the assistance of OPP from the Bracebridge detachment, has charged two Gravenhurst residents with multiple drug-related offences.

In the spring of 2026, the crime unit initiated an investigation into suspected drug-trafficking activity in Gravenhurst.

On Thursday June 4, with the assistance of the Collingwood/Huronia West CSCU, the Southern Georgian Bay CSCU, the OPP K9 Unit and the Bracebridge OPP detachment, investigators executed a search warrant at the home at Muskoka Road South and Main Street.

They seized quantities of suspected cocaine, oxycodone, Canadian currency and other evidence.

Including taking possession of a cross-bow and arrows.

As a result, police arrested and charged:

Kevin Buker, 41, of Gravenhurst with:

  1. Possession of a Schedule I substance (cocaine) for the purpose of trafficking
  2. Possession of a Schedule I substance (oxycodone) for the purpose of trafficking
  3. Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5,000
  4. Possession of a weapon contrary to order

Kirsten Veinott, 40, of Gravenhurst, with:

  1. Possession of a Schedule I substance (cocaine) for the purpose of trafficking
  2. Possession of a Schedule I substance (oxycodone) for the purpose of trafficking
  3. Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5,000
  4. Breach of recognizance

Buker and Veinott are to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Bracebridge on July 7, 2026.
