TORONTO MOTORCYCLIST DIES SUNDAY MORNING IN COLLISION WITH SUV IN BRACEBRIDGE

BRACEBRIDGE — A 58-year-old Toronto motorcyclist has died after a collision on Hwy. 118 west in Bracebridge close to the downtown late Sunday morning.

Police (OPP) are investigating the fatal accident Aug. 20, 2023, at 10:30 a.m.

Emergency services responded to after the motorcycle and a white SUV passenger van collided just west of the intersection with Wellington Street in front of the Canadian Tire Gas Bar.

The road heads west to Port Carling.

As a result the motorcyclist has died.

Muskoka Road 118 was closed in both directions while the OPP Technical Collision Investigators and Reconstructionists conducted their investigation and all lanes have since reopened.

This investigation is ongoing and anyone who witnessed the collision or may have digital evidence of the collision, and has not yet spoken with police, is asked to call Bracebridge OPP at 1-888-310-1122.

Traffic was closed in both direction on Hwy. 118 late Sunday morning as police investigated the collision by the Canadian Tire Gas Bar.
