BARD BACK IN BRACEBRIDGE TUESDAY FOR 10-DAY RUN OF HIS MAGICAL COMEDY MIDSUMMER’S NIGHT DREAM

BRACEBRIDGE — Outdoor theatre returns to Annie Williams Park tomorrow evening with A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Shakespeare’s classic comedy of love triangles, misunderstandings, and fairy mischief.

Prism Theatre In The Park is back for performances on stage Aug. 8-12 and Aug. 15-19, beginning at 7 pm.

The local company last performed the Dream in 2008 and some of that cast and crew have kept with the company right through to this year’s performance, which promises to bring the magic of the show to life in ways it’s never been done before, they say.

Under the new direction of David Wray, this is the company’s first show under a new creative team,” he says.

“And it’s shaping up to be one of the most ambitious projects yet. We’ve never had costumes that light up before.”

“Guests” should bring a lawn chair or blanket for the annual production.

Tickets are available at the gate.
