ST. DOMINIC’S WALK RAISES FUNDS FOR ALZHEIMER’S IN HONOUR OF RETIRED TEACHER ART FORESTER

BRACEBRIDGE — St. Dom’s students, staff, friends and supporters of former business teacher Art Forester were up early today to raise funds for dementia.

Forester, who has Alzheimer’s, was out leading the way on a walk along Cedar Lane from the Catholic school to the nearby Pines retirement home around and back this morning at 10 a.m.

They were walking in support of the nearly 600,000 Canadians living with dementia.

A donation box, with which they raised several hundred dollars, and light refreshments were provided at the separate school afterwards.
