PENINSULA ROAD FIRE ON SUNDAY IN GRAVENHURST LIGHTS UP NIGHT

GRAVENHURST — A fire here on Peninsula Road last night proved “difficult” for firefighters to battle in southwest Gravenhurst.

“Difficult access to the property for fire apparatus and the topography of the property itself have made firefighting difficult for crews,” they tweeted. “Water supply has been established at Morrison Lake in addition to tanker shuttles and crews now have the fire under control.”

They say no one was injured in the massive blaze that lit up the night, Sunday Feb. 26, after 8 p.m.
