MAN CHARGED WITH IMPAIRED AFTER POLICE CONCERNED ABOUT DRIVER’S BEHAVIOUR TODAY

GRAVENHURST — A Gravenhurst man’s driving behaviour early this morning gave police cause to stop the vehicle.

Police say that at 2:35 a.m., Dec. 2, an officer on general patrol on Muskoka Rd. 169 in Gravenhurst became concerned after watching a motorist.

The officer conducted a traffic stop and subsequently arrested and charged 29-year-old Nickolas Barnes with Impaired Operation of a Vehicle CC 320.14(1)(a) and Over 80 CC 320.14(1)(b).

Barnes is to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice Jan. 3, 2022.

His licence was also suspended for 90 days and the vehicle impounded.
