BARRIE, HUNTSVILLE MEN ARRESTED IN GRAVENHURST AFTER VEHICLE BREAKS DOWN

GRAVENHURST — A Huntsville man was in bail court this morning after two people were arrested when police spotted a vehicle broken down at the south end of town here last night.

Provincial police say officers were conducting general patrol when they observed a broken down vehicle on Talisman Drive in the Town of Gravenhurst Monday, May 23, just after 9 p.m.

They subsequently charged 35-year-old Andrew Ward, of Huntsville, with Possession of Schedule 1 Substance CDSA 4(1) and Possession of Weapon for Dangerous Purpose CC 88.

Ward was held in custody to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Bracebridge May 24 for a bail hearing.

Also arrested was 39-year-old Steven Brennan, of Barrie, who was charged with Possession of a Schedule 1 substance for the purpose of Trafficking CDSA (52), Possession of Schedule 1 Substance CDSA 4(1) and Possession of Weapon for Dangerous Purpose CC 88.

Brennan is to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Bracebridge on July 5, 2022.
