HOME SECURITY VIDEO SOUGHT AFTER THEFTS FROM VEHICLES

HUNTSVILLE — Police are looking for home security video from residents in the Settler’s Ridge subdivision after multiple thefts from vehicles last Friday and Saturday.

They say anyone living around Selkirk Road and Homestead Lane is asked to contact the OPP after autos there were entered overnight July 16 and early July 17.

Check your security cameras for any suspicious activity east off Hwy. 11 in the Golf Course Road area near the Huntsville Downs Golf Course.

If you see anything unusual, contact the Huntsville OPP detachment at 705-789-5551 or the OPP Provincial Communication Centre at 1-888-310-1122.

Vehicle owners are reminded to always lock your vehicle put loose items out of sight and close the windows. If your vehicle is equipped with security features please ensure they are activated. An unlocked vehicle and vehicle’s with valuables visible are the first targeted. Perpetrators incur more risk of being observed, being identified and getting caught if they are forced to physically break into vehicles.
