Police say four others were injured when two boats collided in front of Windermere Marina and Windermere House.

The OPP say six people were on board the two vessels at the time of the early evening collision. Four were rescued from the water and rushed to hospital with injuries. Three of the injured have since been released from hospital and one was airlifted to a Toronto area hospital last night where they are being treated for life-threatening injuries.

They found six occupants involved between the two vessels.

They say four people were rescued from the water and rushed to hospital with serious injuries, one of whom has been airlifted to a Toronto area hospital.

But one person died at the scene and one person remained unaccounted for last night.

Search efforts continued well into the evening hours and resumed this morning.

The deaths would be the seventh and eighth this summer on Muskoka waters.
