2 GRAVENHURST RESIDENTS CHARGED WITH DRUGS DOWNTOWN TUESDAY

GRAVENHURST — Two local residents faces drug charges after being arrested in the downtown here yesterday.

The OPP’s Muskoka Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU) says they charged them after a drug trafficking investigation Tuesday, July 13, at 3:50 p.m.

With the aid of the police they arrested the pair.

A search resulted in the seizure of a quantity of controlled substances, including 88.6 grams of cocaine, as well as $2,059 in cash.

Charged are:

William Buker, 35:

Trafficking a Schedule I Substance

  • Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking
  • Possession of Property Obtained by Crime under $5,000

Buker was being held in custody pending a bail hearing before the Ontario Court of Justice in Bracebridge, scheduled for today, July 14.

Karolina Janiec, 30:

  • Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking
  • Obstruct Police
  • Possession of a Prohibited Weapon

Janiec is to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Bracebridge, on Aug. 24, 2021.
