HUNTSVILLE MEN CHARGED WITH DRUG POSSESSION AFTER POLICE STOP

HUNTSVILLETwo men face drug charges after police stopped a vehicle Friday morning.

The OPP say that on Nov. 27 at 10:30 a.m. officers pulled over an auto on Howland Drive and arrested the driver for impaired operation of a motor vehicle by drugs.

Further investigation led a seizure of cocaine, and fentanyl.

Driver Terrence Rocks, 39, of Huntsville, is charged with:

  • Operation while impaired by drugs S. 320.14(1)(1) of the Criminal Code of Canada
  • Possession of a Schedule I Substance – Cocaine for the Purposes of Trafficking S. 5(2) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act
  • Possession of a Schedule I Substance – Fentanyl S. 4(1) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act
  • Having care or control of a motor vehicle with liquor readily available S. 32(1) LLA
  • Having liquor in open container in other than licensed premises S. 32(1)LLA

He also received an Administrative Driver’s Licence Suspension for a period of 90 days.

His passenger, Blake Huntington, 37, also of Huntsville, is charged with:

  • Possession of a Schedule I Substance – Fentanyl S. 4(1) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act
  • And Fail to Comply with Probation S. 733.1(1) CCC

Rocks and Huntington were released on an Undertaking to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in the Town of Huntsville on Jan. 6, 2020.

A police stop on Howland Drive Friday morning led to the driver and passenger being charged with drug possession.
