5 NEW MUSOKA CASES AMONG 43 IN SIMCOE MUSKOKA

MUSKOKA — Five Muskoka residents are among a spike of 43 COVID-19 cases reported today from over the weekend.

There were also two more deaths, according to public health.

Three from Huntsville are aged 18-34 and two from Muskoka Lakes are 45-64 years old.

For a Huntsville man and woman the coronavirus was community acquired.

And the Huntsville woman’s case is under investigation.

In Muskoka Lakes, one woman’s case was community acquired and the other is under investigation.

This afternoon’s tally brings to 1,164 cases reported by the Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit Oct. 19.

They are among 704 in Ontario today (a jump from 658 Sunday) and 1,038 in Quebec, down from 1,094 yesterday.

Simcoe Muskoka had 43 cases over the weekend, a bit of a jump in averages.
