IMPAIRED BOATER CHARGED AFTER HITTING SHORE ON KAHSHE LAKE

GRAVENHURST — A June boating accident has led to impaired charges after the boat hit shore on Kahshe Lake.

Police say that on June 27 at 2 a.m. they were called to the collision in south Gravenhurst. The operator of the vessel and his passenger were transported to hospital with serious, non-life-threatening injuries.

A search warrant was sought for the operator’s blood as part of the investigation.

And on Sept. 17 the driver, 58-year-old Daniel Clune, of Bradford, was charged with Operation while Impaired CC 320.14(1)(a) and Over 80 CC 320.14(1)(b).

He is to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Bracebridge on Oct. 27, 2020.
