OH, DEER! JAYWALKERS CROSSING MANITOBA STREET

BRACEBRIDGE — There are lots of visitors to Muskoka in summer.

And a family of deer was caught crossing Manitoba Street here at the south end of the main street.

No need for stop lights here or a pedestrian crosswalk — jaywalking was just fine with this momma doe and her fawn.

They were spotted on Ontario Street near the Bracebridge Falls and MuskokaTODAY.com subscriber Sybil Jackson sent us a snapshot.

Deer aren’t that unusual in town and at least one other was seen in Memorial Park last winter enjoying the Christmas lights.

Let us know if you see any other wildlife wandering anywhere.

Send us their photos; we’d love to share our visitors with others.

A momma deer and her spotted fawn were spotted in downtown Bracebridge last week — ignoring the crosswalk.
