GET READY FOR SAFE OUTDOOR EDUCATION

MUSKOKA — Listen for the call of the wild as students return to the great outdoors classrooms in September.

As alarming as school’s return is — you’ll hear more than the sound of recess bells in the playground and a loud call to order from teachers.

The province says to keep all concerned safe social distancing will be job No. 1.

As if they haven’t spent enough time outside. Hope the WiFi connection works well in the field.

And that means outdoor amenities are undergoing more than sanitation protocols.

Some school playgrounds are getting complete makeovers.

Like the one at the Gravenhurst Public School, which was all but bulldozed this week in preparation for elementary school kids to play — and learn — safe.
