ALBION BAR OWNER CHARGED WITH IMPAIRED DRIVING

GRAVENHURST — The owner of KJ’s bar at the Albion faces impaired driving charges after being stopped near the downtown pub here.

Provincial police say in a release that Kevin Wallace, 56, was charged Saturday, June 20, at 10:20 p.m.

They say an officer with the Central Region Traffic Safety Division, on patrol on Brock Street, noticed a vehicle without its rear lights illuminated in Gravenhurst.

The officer conducted a traffic stop to investigate and as a result Wallace was arrested and charged with Impaired Operation (Over 80).

He is due to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Bracebridge Aug. 25, 2020.

As a result, his driver’s licence was automatically suspended for 90 days and the vehicle was impounded by police.
