SEEN IN PASSING …

Orange shirts and ribbons seen all over towns as Canada marks Aboriginal Day Friday. …

RAIN OR SHINE OR SNOW? Judy Humphries is “excited” to tell you that we have a new date for the Swedetown event — the unveiling of the Interpretive Panel that commemorates the arrival of Scandinavian settlers to Gravenhurst between 1870 and 1910. We will now meet on Wednesday, Oct. 12 @ 2 p.m. at the eastern entrance to Gull Lake Park on Phillip Street East at Fourth St. She says bring a chair, an umbrella, snowshoes and anything else that might make you comfortable in our ever-changing weather for our get-together. Everyone is welcome.
