TOTAL FIRE BAN ACROSS ALL OF MUSKOKA AS OF JULY 25

MUSKOKA — With another hot day Friday and possible rain or thunder showers expected over the weekend, local fire chiefs aren’t taking any chances with a dry climate right now.

This total ban means no burning for cooking, warmth or fireworks.

Temperatures are expected to be 27 or 28 right through to Monday.

All the chiefs have set the Fire Danger rating at EXTREME.

That means there is a TOTAL BAN on all fires in the District of Muskoka until further notice.

No fires of any type are permitted.

No fires are permitted for cooking or warmth.

And no fireworks are allowed.

Anyone caught faces heavy fines.
