MUSKOKA BAY BEACH CLEARED FOR SWIMMING FRIDAY
GRAVENHURST — And then there was one ….
A swim advisory for Muskoka Bay Park Beach posted on Thursday July 4, has been lifted.
The town and health unit made the annoucent late Friday afternoon for the West Gravenhurst park.
Earlier Friday, Port Sydney’s main beach was cleared to reopen.
That just leaves Muskoka Beach in Gravenhurst with the
Water samples taken Friday by the Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit have shown a significant decrease in bacteria levels and a safe level for swimming activity.
Advisory signs are now being removed from the beach.
The Town of Gravenhurst in cooperation with the SMDHU will continue to monitor bacteria levels at our municipal beaches and notify the public should there be any further updates.
