Gryphons rebound — even OFSSA record with 62-52 win over Lamothe-Cadillac

LONDON — It was another fast start for GHS in their second game at the OFSSA finals Monday.

The Gryphons are now 1-1 after rebounding to win in the afternoon, following an opening defeat in the morning.

After a tough loss to Villanova in the morning, they rebounded to beat Lamonthe-Cadillac by double digits, 62-52.

The afternoon matchup (at 5:30 p.m.) saw them again take the lead in the first quarter, 23-14.

But they let off the gas a little in the second quarter to finish the half tied 34-34, scoring just 11 points.

However, with 16 points in period three they regained the lead, 50-45.

And in the fourth quarter they outscored Lamothe-Cadillac 12-7 for the final 62-52 win.

The leading scorers in the game weren’t available.

Now, according to the draw, it looks like their in tough at noon Tuesday when the No. 14 ranked GHS takes on the No. 3 seed Almonte District High School.
