Gofundme page has raised $17,000 for family of home destroyed by fire

HUNTSVILLE A Gofundme campaign is raising money for a local family who lost their century-old home early here this week.

As of Tuesday, it had raised just over $17,000 of its $20,000 goal.

According to the Gofundme page, put up by friends:

“A fire has taken everything from my neighbours, friends and family.
This is the old Lupton homestead on Britannia.
Because it was over 100 years old it required tens of thousands of dollars to upgrade this is why fire insurance was impossible to attain … Bob was working slowly to finish those upgrades,  even got an outdoor woodstove complete,…Everyone knows Butcher  Bob and his spouse Bonnie they were both born,  raised, and lived in Huntsville their whole lives,  they were also caring for  their six month old grand child… one week before Christmas they’ve lost everything. These are  good people who always lend a hand to people in need .
Anything  will  help.
Tammy Lupton, Bob’s sister has set up A bank account  for Bob  (Darryl) to rebuild his family home at the Royal bank in Huntsville for anyone wishing to donate that way
thank you in advance.
