Sebright man dies after being struck by vehicle in Ramara Twp.

CITY OF KAWARTHA LAKES — A Sebright man has died after being struck by a vehicle in the Ramara Township area Sunday.

Police are investigating the death early Sunday of a Sebright teen.

Provincial police say that at about 4:15 a.m. on June 17, 2018, officers from the City of Kawartha Lakes OPP detachment responded to a 9-1-1 call in Carden Township.

Their initial investigation indicated that Lucas Dunlop, 19, of Sebright, had been struck by a vehicle in the Ramara Township area and had subsequently died of his injuries.

The City of Kawartha Lakes OPP Crime Unit is investigating the circumstances surrounding this incident, under the direction of Detective Inspector Scott Moore of the OPP Criminal Investigation Branch (CIB).

The OPP’s Technical Collision Investigation (TCI) unit and Forensic Identification Services (FIS) attended the scene to assist with the investigation.  A post mortem is scheduled for Monday, June 18, 2018.
