Former Orillia teens donate $1,000 to OSMH for mental health

ORILLIA If you were born in 1968 and you saved $20 per year for every year older you got — this year you’d have $1,000 in your bank account.

Then what would you do with it?

Well, that’s kinda the predicament a “A Group of Former Orillia Teenagers” found themselves in recently.

So, what did they do?

Well a cheque for $1,000 has been presented to the Orillia Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital (OSMH) Foundation in support of mental health services at the hospital.

The funds were donated by “A Group of Former Orillia Teenagers” in celebration of their 50th birthdays at the Geneva Event Centre on June 16.

They didn’t exactly put aside the money the past half century.

They just thought it was great way to celebrate and give back.

Good thinking.

“A Group of Former Orillia Teens” showed they didn’t forget where they grew up.
