Huntsville may call for MACH board, CEO to be fired

HUNTSVILLE – A council motion Monday night could see the Town of Huntsville ask the province to disband the Muskoka Algonquin Healthcare (MAHC) board and fire its CEO Natalie Bubela.

Huntsville not happy with MAHC.

If adopted and voted on, councillors will be expressing their displeasure at the way Muskoka’s two hospitals could end up being one – either in Huntsville, Bracebridge – or even possibly Port Sydney.

After months and years of talks, MAHC’s board is recommending one hospital.

And Huntsville, which has been off and on about being that one site – while cooperating with Bracebridge – is frustrated with the state of things.
