Child pornography charges against Orillia man

ORILLIA A 28-year-old city man faces multiple child pornography charges.

Provincial police here say that on February 1, 2018, the  OPP Child Sexual Exploitation Unit, OPP Digital Forensics Unit, and Orillia OPP detachment members arrested and charged a the man with offences in the City of Orillia.

A pro-active online undercover investigation was commenced in December of 2017, which resulted in a search warrant being executed Monday.

As a result of the investigation police arrested Benjamin William Andrew Lloyd, of Orilli,a and have charged him with:

  • Possession of Child Pornography
  • Accessing Child Pornography
  • Making Child Pornography Available

The accused was held for a bail hearing where he was released and scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Orillia on February 27.
