3 people charged in Orillia drug raid

ORILLIA Provincial police here arrested and charged three people with drug trafficking.

Police have laid a number of charges.

They say that on February 07, 2018, Orillia and Barrie Community Street Crime Units (CSCU), Orillia OPP and Rama Police Service (RPS) conducted an investigation, at a Memorial Avenue business in the City of Orillia, which led to the arrests.

During the investigation police seized cocaine, heroin, marijuana, methamphetamine, fentanyl, a cross bow and drug paraphernalia associated with trafficking.

Police arrested Janilyn Batac, age 29, of Milton, and Jaiyden Jones, age 22, of Toronto, and charged them with: Possession of Cannabis Marijuana, Possession of Cocaine, Possession of Cannabis Marihuana for the Purpose of Trafficking and Possession of Cocaine for the Purpose of Trafficking. Both of the accused have been released on a Promise to Appear with a court date of March 6, 2018 at the Ontario Court of Justice in Orillia.

Police also arrested 20 year old Tiffani Wray, of Brampton, and charged her with: Possession of Heroin, Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of Fentanyl Possession of Cannabis Marihuana, Possession of Cocaine, Possession of Cannabis Marihuana for the Purpose of Trafficking, Possession of Cocaine for the Purpose of Trafficking and Breach of Recognizance.

The accused was remanded into custody and set to appear on February 09 at the Ontario Court of Justice in Barrie for a bail hearing.
