170 pot plants seized in grow-op raid in Huntsville

HUNTSVILLE Six months from now you’ll be able to grow your own pot at home.

But there’s a limit .

And police are cracking down in the countdown to when it’s four plants per person.

So, on Thursday February 1, 2018, provincial police raided a grow-op here.

In a release Sunday, they said they had information that an indoor grow operation was operating in Huntsville.

Witht help of the Central Street Crime Unit (CSCU) and the local detachment, police executed a search warrant at a residence.

Inside, they found 170 marijuana plants in two stages of growth, along with paraphernalia that would assist in the growing of these plants.

As a result, Shawn Bradshaw, 49, of Huntsville has been charged with Production of a Controlled Substance and Possession of Cannabis over 30grms under the Controlled Drug Substances Act.

He is to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Huntsville on March 7, 2018 to answer to his charges.
