TROOPS TREATED ROYALLY AT ARENA
It took an army of volunteers to feed an army of volunteers.
Bracebridge residents answered the call just like the Canadian Forces soldiers who came to their rescue.
Breakfast, dinner, lunch and snacks … the 300 reservists from the GTA have had them all at the arena in Bracebridge, where’s they’ve camped out for almost two weeks sleeping on cots in the rink and helping the community with flood effects.
Gravenhurst photographer Shannon Durnan has been volunteering around town, helping them fill sandbags and feeding them.
She snapped these great photos between serving the troops.
