3 snowmobiles stolen south of Orillia Dec. 10-11
ORILLIA — Optimistic thieves who stole three snowmobiles may be on the lookout for snow, just as police are searching for them.
The Orillia Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are seeking the assistance of the public in relation to a break and enter at a local business compound from which three used Parlaris snowmobiles were stolen.
One was a 2013 model, another was a 2014 and the third was a 2015.
They say that between Dec 10 at 6 p.m. and Dec. 11 at 6:00 a.m., the perpetrator(s) entered the fenced compound of a Line 9 South, Oro-Medonte business which contained a large number of vehicles and machinery.
A portion of the fence was torn down and three MSVs were driven from the yard.
An OPP Scenes of Crime Officer (SOCO) attended and collected evidence left behind at the scene. Members of the Orillia OPP detachment and Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU) continue to investigate.
