Free Rotary picnic Saturday 11-2 at Gull Lake Rotary Park

GRAVENHURST — Your first big free community picnic of the summer is here this Saturday.

The Gravenhurst Rotary Club is celebrating 80 years with a celebration and some major additions to Gull Lake Rotary Park.

From 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. join Rotarians as they officially open the newly expanded gazebo they built more than five years ago.

The’ve double it in size and that’s where the free food and drinks will be provided.

In addition, the’ve added a Frisbee golf course over by the swings, in amongst trees that came down in a wind storm.

It’s a great new game where player toss discs into mounted hoops — or holes.

Hundreds of discs are being given away to local youth to encourage its use.

So, Saturday morning and afternoon, help celebrate eight decades of good deeds by the service club.
