OPP DOG CATCHES B&E SUSPECT LAST NIGHT
MUSKOKA LAKES TWP. — A homeowner who forced a break-and-enter suspect to flee was quickly caught after police called in their police dog last night.
Provincial police at Bracebridge say that on Wednesday, May 13, at 10:30 p.m., officers were dispatched to the B&E in Muskoka Lakes Township.
They say the homeowner was present and scared the suspect away.
The OPP canine unit and their emergency response team found the suspect a short distance away.
Police charged 24-year-old Rylan Carnegie, of Newmarket, with Break and Enter CC 348(1)(a) and Mischief CC 430(1)(a).
He is to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Bracebridge July 21, 2020.
