IMPAIRED CHARGE IN HVL.

HVL. — A driver with an out of date permit and no insurance has been charged with impaired driving.

Provincial police at Huntsville say that on Saturday, March 21, OPP received a driving complainant from concerned citizens about a vehicle being operated in an erratic manner.

Officers located this vehicle and the investigation lead to its driver Ronald Edwards being charged with the following:

Failure to comply with a demand for a breath sample, contrary to section 320.15(1) of the Criminal Code of Canada.

Drive motor vehicle with no currently validated permit, contrary to section 7(1) of the Highway Traffic Act.

Operate motor vehicle with no insurance, contrary to section 2(1)(a) of the Compulsory Automobile Insurance Act.

Edwards is to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice, Huntsville June10, to answer to his charges.
